Goat tiger grass puzzle

A person must transport a goat, a Tiger, and bag of grass across a river in a row boat.He can only take one thing at a time. If the tiger is left alone with the goat (on either side of the river), it will eat the goat. Likewise, if the goat is left alone with the bag of grass, it will eat the grass. To solve this puzzle, you must find a way for the farmer to get the Tiger, the Goat, and the bag of grass safely across the river.

One possible solution to this puzzle follows. The farmer first takes the goat across the river and leaves it on the other side. he then comes back and picks up the tiger and takes it to the other side. When he gets there, he drops off the tiger and brings the goat back with him. he then drops the goat off and picks up the bag of grass which he takes across the river. Finally, he goes back and picks up the goat and takes it across the river one last time. When this is done, he has safely transported everything across the river and is able to go on his way.
